This series comprises sixteen files containing letters by Joseph T. Thorson to his wife, Alleen Thorson, regarding various aspects of his time in Ottawa during World War II. It includes discussion pertaining to the following: his anxieties about the war, exciting days in cabinet, and the potential for new positions within government (including in the Exchequer Court).
Name of creator
Thorson, Joseph T. (Joseph Thorarinn) 1889-1978 created this archive. Judge Donald Thorson of Toronto gave the records to the LAC in 1981 and 1982.
Immediate source of acquisition
The digital copies of the records were acquired by the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective between 2014 and 2018.
