This series comprises sixteen files containing letters by Joseph T. Thorson to his wife, Alleen Thorson, regarding various aspects of his time in Ottawa during World War II. It includes
discussion pertaining to the following: his anxieties about the war, exciting days
in cabinet, and the potential for new positions within government (including in the
Exchequer Court).
