This file includes correspondence between members of the Cabinet War Committee on courses of action to be taken in the event of war with Japan. Records contain evaluation and discussion of the perceived threat of Japanese Canadian fishermen and families on the Pacific Coast (near Ucluelet and Tofino). There is a suggestion of expropriation as a preferred alternative to internment.
