Scope and content |
This file contains Order-in-Council PC 1944-3797, dated 19 May 1944. PC 1944-3797
amended the Defence of Canada Regulations to include that "[e]very person who acquires
or holds land or growing crops for the benefit of any person known to him to be of
the Japanese race or a company known to him to be a Japanese company shall be guilty
of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred
dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months."
