This file consists predominantly of records relating to George Collins's expenses, accommodations, and transportation during his time working for the Department of Labour from 1942 to 1944. It includes administrative correspondence regarding staff responsibilities;
correspondence regarding the "relocation" of Japanese Canadians and nationals; a publication
of the CCF (commenting on the "Japanese in Canada today"); some correspondence regarding conditions
in internment sites (e.g. discussion of schooling); and records relating to the transfer
of the British Columbia Security Commission under the direct supervision of the Department of Labour.
