This file primarily includes documents requesting cancellation of "repatriation" of Japanese Canadians and Japanese nationals. It includes the following: correspondence regarding the large number of requests for cancellations received; correspondence regarding applications for "repatriation" received both prior to and after RCMP survey; lists of "repatriates"; letters concerning cancellation of "repatriation" (e.g., against the deportation of Buddhist priests); and early discussion of repatriation procedure, particularly in September 1942 on S.S. Gripsholm (e.g., baggage restrictions).
