Scope and content |
This microfilm file contains records maintained by the Department of Immigration on the "Repatriation of Japanese" from 1941 to 1945. Included are lists of deported
individuals as well as correspondence relating to the logistical details of the deportation
procedure (e.g., on property, transfer of funds, "voluntary" application forms). These
records pertain primarily to those being deported on the Hikawa Maru and the S.S.
Gripsholm. Questions of the revocation of citizenship are also considered.
