This file comprises minutes of meetings of the Board of Directors of the Pacific Co-Operative Union from its inception in 1932 to 1944. The minutes from 1932 to 1941 focus primarily on issues of fruit (mostly berry) production and sales, dealings with the organization’s finances (e.g., refunding shares for those leaving), and establishing an internal organizational structure. Included are discussions pertaining to the transfer of title of Japanese Canadian–owned land to the Association, the use of Japanese Canadian–owned land by the Soldier Settlement Board, and suggestions for the liquidation of Japanese Canadian interests.
