She was born on 22 February 1921. Her family includes Masa Mizuyabu (mother; nee Masa Mio), and Ukichi Mizuyabu (father). Her home address is listed as P.O. Box 225, Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Steveston, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Greenwood, BC and she was exiled to Japan on 17 June 1946.
