She was born on 23 April 1928. She was a gardner. Her family includes Tomematsu Mizuyabu (father) and Yasu Mizuyabu (mother; nee Yasu Mio). She lived in Steveston, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Tashme, BC and exiled to Japan on 31 May 1946.
