Scope and content
Item is a letter dated May 13, 1946 from F.R. Butler. The letter is inquiring whether or not Koazi Fujikawa is residing in the neighbourhood listed on the Residence Anglers Licence. If so, F.R. Butler is requesting that the recipient of the letter to take action and obtain possession of the Game Licence issued to him by Mr. J.L. English of Rexall Drugstore of Mission for cancellation. Wartime Regulations prohibit Japanese people from obtaining Firearm or Angler Licence. Numbers and initials can be found on the verso.
Name of creator
Born to Riwo and Tsurikichi Fujikawa in 1914 on their berry farm in Silverdale, BC, Koazi Fujikawa was the fifth of nine children. He went to school in Silverdale for the first six grades, Mission Central School for grade seven and then Silverhill School for grade eight. After grade eight, Koazi stayed at home to work on the farm.
