Scope and content
The Shimizu family poses for a photograph inside a house. Seated on a wooden chair in the first row centre is Reverend Shimizu's new wife, Hide Hyodo. On either side of Hide are the Shimizu girls wearing matching plaid dresses with floral blouses. Standing behind Hide is her husband, Reverend Shimizu. On either side of Reverend Shimizu are the Shimizu boys wearing matching long sleeve shirts and dark pants.
Name of creator
Harold Hayashi was born on November 23, 1926 in Vancouver, BC. His father is Katsutaro Hayashi born in 1880 and arrived in Canada in 1905 and died in 1938. His mother (a picture bride) is Yayeno Kafuchi from Hiroshima, Japan who died in 1976.
Harold married Giselle D'Anjou who was born on August 23, 1940.
