Scope and content |
The series consists of 26 items from Nagami Confectionary Store. These items include:
children's colouring books, comic booklets, paper doll booklets, wall hangings and
the cover of a ledger, a notepad - printed with the name and address of the store,
a straight razor, and six digital files of official documents on the transferring
of the store ownership.

Shigetaka (Steve) Sasaki
has been referred to as the "Father of Judo in Canada." He came to Canada in 1922
in order to fish, after being invited by his aunt and uncle who owned a small bakery
in Canada, and established the first amateur judo clubs in Canada in Vancouver, BC
and the surrounding area.
