Bunnosuke Fujino to Custodian's, 02 June 1944

Tashme, B. C. June 2, 1944.
Custodian's, 506 Royal Bank Bldg. Vancouver, B. C. Dear Sir:
In reply to your letter of May 10, 1944, File 8786. I have no intention of selling my land. Municipality of Delta. Lot 1, of NEĀ¼, Sec. 24, Tp. 4.
Since being evacuated from my farm and leaving a very good productive crop, I would like to know what happened to it. My family of seven, made a very good living on that farm so surely in wartime when everything is so expensive and shortage of fruits, etc., you didn't just let it go. So I imagine you must have made quite a sum off those crops. Kindly let me know what you did about this.
Yours truly, #12519

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
