Dear Sir:
I have received a letter concerning my property, which has been sold recently and
I feel very sorry for it.
During the evacuation there had been weight limit on baggages and I left considerable
personal property which they are very valuable to me. I would like to know what has
been done to it and I will be looking forward for the reply.

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
