506 Royal Bank Bldg., Vancouver, B. C. Dear Sir:
Re: File No. 8695, Reg. No. 14094.
Received your statement of May 30th the other day and I was quite surprised to see that you have sold my property without any notice whatever. As to my point of view, I did not want to part with my farm property as it took 30 years to make what it is today. I was very disappointed as you sold the property at half the valuation. Please let me know to whom you have sold the farm.
I had my furniture and household goods stored in the room and many farm machinery and tools kept the barn. I miss so many things out here, that I would like to get a permit to go to Haney and straighten everything out.
Please let me know by return mail as to my permit to Haney.
Yours very truly,

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
