Dear Sirs:
Re: Catalogue No. 805
Lot B of a 3 ac. ptn. of Sec. 4/B3N/R7W/Sk. 3756
. Files 4829 and 8965
We have just received your letter a few days ago that the above property is in course
of sale.
Besides $4000.00 is too low a price for the above property, we have not any intention of selling our
property. One reason is that we still have quite a few personal things left on it
and also the other Japanese evacuees have theirs left in their houses on our property.
In reply to your last letter, we want to warn you that you have not our permission
to sell the above property, whatever the directions issued from Ottawa.
Yours very truly,
"Kaoru Atagi" 05071
"Hisao Atagi" 05037

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
