File No. 5572
Dear Sir:
I received your letter of February 3rd today and I wish to inform you that I am not satisfied with the selling of my property without consulting me the amount in which it was to be sold and also the amount you have sold my property.
Although the sale is not satisfied I am in need of funds for I am self supporting. I should like to have my credit balance sent to me at your earliest convenience. Also please send me the balance in quarterly instalments with interest as you have stated in your letter.
Yours truly, Reg. No. 04928.

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
