Gentlemen:
In reply to your letter of Feb. 9th, 1945 regarding to your attempt of the sale of my property Lot 11 Block H. D.L. 127 Gp 1. Map 1254 in the District of New Westminster. I hereby inform you that I have no intention to sell the same. If the sale is conducted by you as you indicated in your said letter, it is done against my will and without my consent.
I am waiting the Judgment of Court for the legality of Order in Council concerning the sale of our Real Properties. I also reserve my right to take other legal course if necessary.
Therefore, for protection of my right until then, I hereby declare I will refuse to accept the proceeds of such sale if any and I will keep the titles for above mentioned properties.

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
