Dear Sir:-
Re:- Jiro Oya
I am writing to you at the resquest of the above party to ask that you forward by

This money is going to be used by this party to purchase some real estate in this

being made to the Department of Labour for its licence for a Japanese to aquire real property in Canada.
I am instructed to say that Jiro Oya is requesting this money and will receive the
same without prejudice to any of his rights to object to the sales recently made by
the Custodian of real estate belonging to Jiro Oya, and situated in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
