(Mrs) Uta Ohori to Mr. B R Dusenbury, 31 March 1947
Copy for Mr. Shears
Received you letter of February 20, and the enclosed cheque of $1,105.02 with thanks.
I would like to add, however, that I am not at all satisfied with the sale of that
property at such a low price, and although I shall accept the cheque sent to me, I
am, through the J.C.C.D. property commission, hoping to have the loss incurred by the sale redressed.
Yours sincerely,

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
