She was born on 2 August 1915. Her family includes Totaro Sokugawa (husband), Nobuhiko Sokugawa (son), and Kotoye Sokugawa (daughter). Her home address is listed as 275 Princess Avenue, Vancouver, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to Portage La Prairie, MB and exiled to Japan on 31 May 1946.
