Taguchi was born on 28 October 1892. He was a fisherman formerly employed by B.C. Packers, Steveston, BC. His family includes Kuni Taguchi (wife; nee Kuni Shinde; in Japan), Kiyo Taguchi (daughter; in Japan), Takashi Taguchi (son; in Japan), and Hiroshi Taguchi (son; in Japan). He lived at Star Cannery, Steveston, BC and was forcibly uprooted to Brunkild, MB and 847 Stella Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. His seized or sold-under-duress property includes: boat “K.T.”; row boat; fishing equipment; household belongings; carpenter’s tools.
