This file contains an English language brief by Vancouver Aldermen Halford D. Wilson and Harry J. DeGraves to H.L. Keenleyside, then the Chairman of the Board of Review at the Canadian Immigration Office in Vancouver, BC. The thesis of the brief is succinctly expressed by the opening paragraph: "As requested at the time of our attendance before your Board of Review on March 24th, 1938, the following facts are submitted in support of our contention that the Oriental situation in British Columbia is vitally affecting the welfare of not only British Columbia, but the whole Dominion of Canada."
