Scope and content |
This file contains letters and memos arising from Tokikazu Tanaka's role as the spokesperson for the Japanese Canadians interned at Petawawa in Angler, Ontario. Correspondence is primarily with the Spanish Consul Pedro E. Schwartz (Spain was the "protecting power"), in addition to letters of appeal to the government.
The work of the Custodian is discussed at some points, and allusions are made to unrest in the spring of 1943.
