Scope and content |
This file contains mostly correspondence (some in Japanese and some in English) and
briefs, mostly from the Slocan Mass Evacuation Kai pertaining to living and working conditions in the camps, financial reports, and
membership lists. It also contains the following: letters to McMaster, Rev. Norman,
the Prime Minister, and the Citizenship Defense Committee; a Department of Labour brief on "repatriation" arrangements; Citizenship Defense Committee briefs; bulletins from Slocan Mass Evacuation Kai; a brief from the "General Report of the Japanese Defense Committee of the First
Ontario Convention"; and a few items written in Japanese concerning living conditions
in the "relocation" camps.
