Scope and content
This file primarily contains assorted clippings collected by Yasutaro Yamaga from 1941 to 1960. These clippings concern the community in New Denver (and the establishment of an old folks home), faith and religion (e.g., an article on Martin Luther King Jr.), and Indigenous history and artefacts. Yamaga collected several articles relating to memorializing white settlers from the 18th century in Canada (in particular, Hamilton's first white settlers). Also included is an article by Yamaga titled "The Spirit Behind the Home." Some of the material is in Japanese.

Yamaga, Yasutaro created this archive as leader of the Japanese Farmer's Union in the Fraser Valley.
