Kuzuichi Shimozawa
Shimozawa was born on 24 June 1903. He was a fisherman. His family includes Tsugi
Shimozawa (mother; nee Tsugi Tozaka; in Japan), Jutaro Shimozawa (in Japan), Hatsu
Shimozawa (wife; nee Hatsu Iwamura), Wataru Shimozawa (son), Hisashi Shimozawa (son),
Suzue Shimozawa (son), Tsutomu Shimozawa (son), Isao Shimozawa (son), Mitsugi Shimozawa
(son), and Susumu Shimozawa (son). He lived at 1040 Stewart Avenue, Nanaimo, BC and
was forcibly uprooted to Hastings Park, Vancouver, BC, Tashme, BC (House No. 711,
Tashme, BC), and then Barnwell, AB. His listed seized property includes: float house
(Nanaimo address above); boat “Two Sisters”; engine parts; fishing equipment; household
belongings and food (including Kikoman “Japanese sauce”); shrines; gramophone with
records.
