Toraichi Atsumi
Atsumi was born on 12 November 1900. He was a fisherman employed by B.C. Packers Limited,
Vancouver, BC. His family includes Torakichi Atsumi (father; deceased at time of file),
Katsue Atsumi (wife; nee Katsue Katsue; in Japan), Yasuo Atsumi (son; in Japan), Kioshi
Atsumi [also named as Kiyoshi Atsumi] (son; in Japan), Takeshi Atsumi (son; in Japan),
Sumie Atsumi (daughter; in Japan), and Kayo Atsumi (daughter; in Japan). He lived
at Star Cannery, Steveston, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to an unspecified location,
and was exiled to Japan on 17 June 1946. His listed seized property includes: boat
“T.A.”; fishing equipment.
