Sensuke Okuma
Okuma was born in 1919. He was a self-employed dry cleaner at his own business, West
End Cleaners, Vancouver, BC, which closed down at the beginning of May 1942. His family
includes Masu Okuma (mother; deceased at time of file), Keijiro Okuma (father; deceased
at time of file), Wai Okuma (wife), Nobuko Okuma (daughter) and Masae Okuma (daughter).
The family rented rooms 210 and 211 at the Winter Hotel, 201 Abbot Street, Vancouver,
BC. His address is listed as 1219 Davie Street, Vancouver, BC. Forcibly uprooted to
House No. 57, East Lillooet, BC on 5 June 1943. Address of Pritchard, BC as of 03
May 1947. Property seized includes a sewing machine and household belongings. A Victory
Bond and shares in Associated Cleaner Compnay remained in his possession.
