Kakutaro Okura
Okura was born 31 March 1908. He was a sawmill worker employed by Telegraph Cove Lumber
Mill. His family includes Hichi Okura (mother; nee Hichi Ogawa; in Japan), Takejiro
Okura (father; deceased at time of file), Hatsumi Okura (wife; nee Hatsumi Hashimoto)
and Tomoko Okura (daughter; born 9 August 1939). His home address is listed as Telegraph
Cove, BC. The family lived in a four room house on company property. He was forcibly
uprooted 19 March 1942 and his address on 3 April 1943 was listed as Headingly, MB.
He was uprooted again to Geraldton, ON on 28 October 1946. Property seized includes
household belongings.
