Itaro Terashita
He was born on 7 May 1894. He was a fisherman. His family includes Yaeno Terashita
(wife; nee Yaeno Muranaka; in Japan), Toshiyo Terashita (daughter; in Japan), Kiyoshi
Terashita (son; in Japan), Masaru Terashita (son; in Japan), and Michiko Terashita
(daughter; in Japan). His wife and children all lived at Mio Mura, Hidakagori, Wakayama-Ken,
Japan at the time of the file. His home address is listed as Ucluelet, BC. He was
forcibly uprooted to Bridge River, BC, and Kamloops, BC. He was exiled to Japan on
24 December 1946. His listed seized property includes land and bungalow at 2880 East
20th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, his home in Ucluelet, BC, two fishing boats, the “Kanamoto”
and the “I.T.” His ship stove was declared valueless.
