Matsubara was born on 16 March 1884. He was retired. His family includes Tsui Matsubara
(mother; nee Tsui Mokichi; deceased at time of file), Seishichi Matsubara (father;
deceased at time of file), Yasu Matsubara (wife; nee Yasu Nobusata), Shizue Matsubara
(daughter), and Emiko Matsubara (daughter; born on 24 August 1929). He lived in Hakoda
Bay, Ucluelet, BC and was forcibly uprooted to Minto City, BC, Midway, BC, and 1223
Berger Street, Montreal, QC. His listed seized property includes: small parcel of
land leased from A. Hakoda in Ucluelet, BC; household belongings; stove.
