Scope and content |
A sub-committee of the Post-War Rehabilitation Council, this department’s file contains an index of plans and proposals, which marks a plan
to use Japanese Canadian labour for land clearing. It also observes that Mr. Gordon Murchison, Director of Soldier Settlement, Ottawa, will be overseeing the disposal to soldiers of Japanese Canadian land. Also included
are extracts from a report by Inspector of Schools, T.F. Robson, Prince George, which calls for the settlement of “selected settlers of racial-compatibility.”
