Dear and honorable sir:
Notice that the Japs have several small fishing Craft tied up in the harbor on Simpson Island I believe due to Natural Causes.
My reason in this contact is to learn and perhaps you can tell me--From whom, where and how could I purchase a few of these boats. My idea was to get them to Atlantic Seaboard in Chesapeake when we clear the American Pacific Coast and we will in a few weeks or so when we make Yaps of the Japs and Nazis too.
I don’t want to do any thing contrary to our progress towards that end but I would like to get a hold of a few of these small boats.
Thanking you sincerely in advance I am

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
