Dear Sir.
There are a lot of rumors that the Jap fish boats are going to be sold!. I would like to get one if this is true. The one I have is not much good. The only thing that keeps me out of the navy is a bum leg- I have a brother there. If I could get a 30 or 32 foot with a 7 bore or 2 cylinder motor and pay it off at $25.00 a month. Don’t you think the payments too small?

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
