2310 Riverside Ave. Trail B.C. Jan. 19, 1942
Dear Sir;
I am interested in fishing on the Pacific coast this coming season, and would very much appreciate any information you can send me on this subject.
I intend to fish on a commercial scale if conditions are favourable and would particularly like to know about Prince Rupert and Vancouver districts.
I would also appreciate any information you can give me on the disposal of the Jap fishing boats, also coast of boat, equipment, licence, etc.
Thank you in advance for your kindness.
Yours Truly,
W.J. Martell

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
