Dear Sir:
Yours of the 23rd inst received, and I wish to thank you for your kindness, and consideration.
The copy of “The commercial Salmon Fisheries of British Columbia,” is very good and quite complete, but I would also like to get any information which you may have on herring, cod, etc.
I would particularly appreciate any information you can give me on the Soup_-fin shark. I understand that there is a great demand for them at the present time.
Yours very truly,
W.J. Martell

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
