Toronto, Apr. 4, /42 23 Grosvenor St.
Dear Sirs:-
It has occurred to me since the rounding up of the Japs, there might be some good openings for fishermen off the coast of B.C. What is the price of a modest boat and will there be any restrictions on the use of gas? Are small sail boats practical? How does a crew work - partnership or wage? Can one work the year round? What capital would be required for a modest outfit?
I would be satisfied with a fair wage and reasonable depreciation of equipment.
Any information much appreciated.
With regards,
(Sge.) C. Graham.

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
