Dear Sirs,
Would you be so kind as to advise me regarding the following particulars… I understand Jap boats can be rented, If so, what is the rental charge? What is the cost of fishing license? The average price for fish? The last months for fishing?
Roughly speaking how far from Vancouver is fishing done? Is gasoline available for boats?
I would be glad of any information that you can give me as my partner & myself will be coming to Vancouver, If [?] we figure the fishing there is profitable. Hoping to hear from you, at your earliest convenience.
Remain yours truly,
A.F. Rush
I am a returned Vet age 46 with a family of 3 at home one boy in airforce

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
