Mr. Secretary;
Dear Sir:
Will you be kind enough to supply me with the following information.
I am interested in the fishing situation out there from a commercial point of view,
and would like to know if the canning coys. were outfitting anyone who would be able and willing to come out there and engage in fishing?
If this is not the case What would be the approximate cost to outfit for two men,
are any of the Japanese boats available?
If you would be kind enough to let me have any information that feel would be important
I would consider it a personal favor.
Trusting to hear from you in the near future I am very truly yours.

Terminology
Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese
Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment
and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes
of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological
choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice.
