Dear Sirs,
I have heard that they rent or sell the fishing boats that the government have confiscated from the interned Japanese.
If this is so is it possible for any one person to obtain information or forms to fill out regarding any such items.
We are very much interested as due to health we have been advised to live near the salt water.
So if it is convenient would you please forward the information obtainable to the above address.
Thanking you
Mrs. Edith Gilmore

Terminology

Readers of these historical materials will encounter derogatory references to Japanese Canadians and euphemisms used to obscure the intent and impacts of the internment and dispossession. While these are important realities of the history, the Landscapes of Injustice Research Collective urges users to carefully consider their own terminological choices in writing and speaking about this topic today as we confront past injustice. See our statement on terminology, and related sources here.
