This file includes correspondence and documents pertaining to the expenses of the
Bird Commission. It includes: copies of P.C. 243, 3737, 1810, 189, 3481; records regarding Commissioner
Bird’s allowances and the salaries of those working for and within the Bird Commission; correspondence on the appointment of Sub-Commissioners; a tentative schedule of
the Commission; and correspondence with F.A. Brewin (dated 09 September 1947) concerning the "inadequate" provisions of compensating
claimants made by P.C. 1810.
