This file contains representations and resolutions from individuals and organizations to the Government of Canada regarding the treatment of Japanese Canadians during wartime. Records primarily concern agitation over the Japanese presence in fishing industries and the implementation of internment and repatriation policies. Also included is correspondence expressing suspicions of Japanese Canadian loyalty and calling for their removal (much of which demonstrates the fervent anti-Japanese sentiments of the time), as well as correspondence advocating against unjust treatment (e.g., the United Church of Canada).
