Scope and content |
The file contains information on the preparation of appraisal reports for the Director’s
legal team in advance of the Bird Commission. It also talks about re-evaluating the 1942 land valuations as a defence to try and
prove that the government did not profit from sales. The file ends with the sales
of the remaining properties to the Village of Mission and the "return" (i.e., purchase) of several properties to Japanese Canadian veterans
of the World Wars.
