Mitsui & Company Limited v Brown et al., [1920] 28 BCR 516
The plaintiffs in this case appealed Justice Clement’s decision, represented by Griffin, Montgomery, and Smith. The respondents were represented by L.J. Ladner and Cantelon. Chief Justice Macdonald and Justices Martin, Galliher, McPhillips and Eberts. Macdonald and Galliher decided to allow the appeal, reversing Clement’s judgement, while Eberts and Martin dissented. The appellant is described as a Japanese firm licensed to carry on business as a foreign company in British Columbia.
