Ponyicki v Sawayama, [1943] SCR 197
This is an appeal from Ponyicki v Sawayama (58 B.C.R. 299). The plaintiff appealed
to increase the amount of money given to him as compensation following the death of
his wife in a motor accident, struck by a vehicle being driven by one of the defendants.
The Justices ultimately dismissed the appeal, citing a lack of evidence of pecuniary
loss exceeding what the trial judge had already awarded in damages.
