Scope and content |
This series comprises two files (numbers 171260 and 171288) pertaining to certificates
of title registered in the Land Registry Office of New Westminster and the transmission of Japanese Canadian–owned lands to the Secretary of State of Canada and to the Director of the Veterans' Land Act. Each file contains the following documents: an indenture between the Secretary of State of Canada and the Director of the Veterans' Land Act; a notarized certification of Ephraim Herbert Coleman, Deputy of the Secretary of State of Canada; an order of the Department of the Secretary of State of Canada regarding certificates of title registered in the New Westminster Land Registry Office; and a list of Japanese Canadian individuals with corresponding descriptions and
valuations of their lands.
