He was born on 18 February 1886. He was a self-employed fisherman. His family includes Taka Nakanishi (mother), Saejiro Nakanishi [possibly Saegiro Nakanishi] (father), and Rie Nakanishi (wife; nee Rie Tsuzimoto). His home address is listed as 353 Powell Street, Vancouver, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Taft, BC and he was exiled to Japan on 14 December 1946.
