He was born on 18 February 1886. He was a self-employed fisherman. His family includes Taka Nakanishi (mother), Saejiro Nakanishi [possibly Saegiro Nakanishi] (father), and Rie Nakanishi (wife; nee Rie Tsuzimoto; in Japan). His home address is listed as 353 Powell Street, Vancouver, BC. He was forcibly uprooted to Taft, BC and he was exiled to Japan on 14 December 1946.
