She was born on 15 January 1883. Her maiden name is Taki Fujima. Her family includes Tomi Fujima (mother), Kiemon Fujima (father), Yaichi Nakanishi (husband), and Eiichi Nakanishi (son). Her home address is listed as 1889 Triumph Street, Vancouver, BC. She was forcibly uprooted to 11 Mile Ranch, Tashme, BC. She was exiled to Japan on 31 May 1946.
