Series consists of two files of publications including a report from the "How Can Nisei Meet Life Creatively?" camp; the first two issues of "The Outlook" newsletter/bulletin; a 1947-48 High School Correspondence Branch price list; a copy of "Democracy Betrayed;" 2 copies of transcripts of the CBC Radio show "Ideas: The Japanese Internment in Canada -- The War We Fought on the West Coast;" the November 1992 issue of "Friends Journal;" the Spring 1997 issue of "Canadian Quaker History Journal." Series also contains draft copies of chapters 5 and 6 of an unnamed publication about Japanese Canadian internment.

Winnifred (McBride) Awmack is the author of "Tashme - A Japanese Relocation Centre, 1942-1946" which describes in good detail the activities of the school and the impact the United Church staff had on the community of young adults in Tashme. It describes building 'D' in Tashme where the classes were held.
